FOCUS (n.) - the concentration of attention or energy on something.

In today’s world, it’s easy to lose our focus.  TV, smart phones, email, Twitter...there are more and more things each day that beg our attention, beg us to deviate from our chosen paths.  We hear about the failing economy, or the latest celebrity death, or who won American Idol, and we lose our focus on the message of Jesus Christ. We lose our focus on the message He brought, and we lose our focus on living a Godly life, spreading the love and grace of Jesus Christ to a needy world.

But if we stand firm, and not let ourselves be moved, we can retain our focus, and concentrate our energy on Jesus Christ, and live the life we are called to in Jesus.

Join us November 6-8, 2009, at Mount Sequoyah Conference and Retreat Center in beautiful Fayetteville, Arkansas for a weekend of focusing on God, and focusing on how God works in us and through us to bring the message of the Gospel to the world.  Keynote speaker Dave Edwards and musical guest Danny Oertli will share their messages through spoken word and song. 

Workshops will focus on the needs of the single adult and our single adult ministries - how can we become better Christians, and how can we better serve our single adults in our ministries and in our communities?  Worship services will allow you to focus on the beauty of the Lord’s world and the beauty of his love and grace for all of us.  Social activities will allow us to connect and share our experiences with one another, and we will all take home new friends, new ideas, and a newfound focus - a focus on the Word.
